We cannot have one type of design plan and products or accessories to be used in all types of integrated security requirements. Having experience of working with almost all type of customers and industry types  like Power generation units, Metro, Airports, Data center, Defense units, Bank strong rooms, Currency printing press, Ports, Navy, Oil and gas, Commercial buildings, universities, Multi location companies, Power distribution companies unmanned sites, high profile offices and residences etc.

Any project of integrated security will have the following three stages :

1. System Design
2. System Deployment
3. System Operation and maintenance

 Every customer will have different and unique requirements. Out of my experience, following are some parameters we always keep in mind while designing or implementing security solution for any client.

1.  Very high secured system requires not only software redundancy but require hardware redundancy as well. Means all system and cables are monitored and there is no single point of failure anywhere, hardware controllers, IP communications, Power etc.

2.  Some situation requires architecture that system works in 100% design mode even if there is a disconnection from server or IP network. IP based systems talk to each other even in server fail or disconnect conditions.

3. Systems requiring centralized operations and still capable of working independently for different areas or buildings or locations in case of failure - Such systems are monitored and controlled through both software and hardware installed at important guarding points. This unit is suitable to be used by any person having almost no computer use training.

4.  Cyber secured system ensuring no hacking even for the systems by people trying to control the security system from intranet network. 

5.  High reliability systems where the accuracy of data and operation is most important despite very high foot fall.

6.  Many customer will require multiple integrations working simultaneously like SAP, ERP, HRMS, CLMS, CCTV systems, Control and command center applications, Automation, elevator, BMS, Intrusion alarm, Management systems like hospital management system, University management system, Hotel Management system, Property management system etc.

7.  Multi-lingual and multi-time zone systems - People can simultaneously use system in their own language as comfortable to them.

8.  Large deployments covering multiple locations and mega campuses will have completely different architectural requirements.

9. System being deployed in challenging environmental conditions like very hot ambient temperature, extreme cold, Humid or coastal areas. Will require completely different type of choice of equipments and design architecture also changes.

10.  Customers requiring simple and reliable systems need to just work with no failures having extra-long operational life.

11.  Upgradation of existing products - systems which have to fit in existing security systems and make it smart, integrated as per latest standards.  

12.  Systems where customized dash boards are required by users to monitor multiple make of systems or have some particular data for analyzing online. Analysis and action to be taken by central teams.

13.  Custom applications is also a requirement with many clients who have some set standardized way of working.

14.  People tracking, asset tracking within a closed areas - Online or offline.

15.  Customer requiring cloud based security system where ease of managing multiple locations is important than achieving higher level of security standards
